Below is a describtion of my favorite hobby, which is predicting the Oscars.
One of my favorite hobbies that I have is predicting the Oscars every year since 2017. I had been watching them since I was about ten, but that was the year I made it a game. I would predict the winners and give myself points for everyone I got right. At the end I would get my percentage to see how I did. Even though I had been watching the Oscar for many year before I began to predict them that year because of a competition I started with my mom. She had been telling me that La La Land was a clear winner, but I had my heart set on Moonlight winning. It was my favorite movie of that year. So we printed out a sheet of all the categories and placed our bets. For my first time predicting I thought I did pretty well, I got 23 out of 24. The only one I had gotten wrong was makeup and hair styling, and that is only because I refused to beleive that Suicide Squad could be a Oscar winner. At least I had won the bet with my mom, and Moonlight took home best picture. After that year I would always look forward to predicting them, even bring my friends into the game. Even if I do not end up guessing all of them right I still have fun trying to get points. I especially like that it makes me watch movies that I would not usually watch. I make it my own personal goal to watch all the best picture contenders. Overall Awards season is one of my favorite times of all. I will probably be predicting the Oscars for a very long time.
